Hey hey hey,

In the midst of all of your panicked, electricity-free holiday shopping, I sincerely hope that you will take a few hours out of your Saturday evening and spend some time with us. If nothing in this world has convinced you to attend tomorrow night's extravaganza, here are the top four reasons to attend this particular show.

Top 4 Reasons To Head To The Paradox on December 16, 2006

1) This will be Ghosts & Liars' first show within the Seattle city limits. (PSSSST: We go on at 7:15 PM)

2) The show will mark the last time the two sweethearts that are Make Believe Productions will host an event at the The Paradox.

3) Besides having the chance to watch us play, the show will feature four amazing local groups (Speaker Speaker, BOAT, Shorthand For Epic, Patience Please) that we are certainly more than honored to be sharing a stage with.

4) Look at this shit: $8.00, ALL-AGES, 7:00 PM

Want directions? You're in luck!

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait.

Love, love, love,
Chris and his merry band of Ghosts & Liars.

Any Pictures? Any Takers? [Dec. 3rd, 2006|10:30 am]

Hey dears,

I woke up early this morning and have been looking longingly at the holiday ads in the Sunday newspaper at various things I won't be able to purchase for myself or for anyone and daydreaming of sword-swiping someone with a Wii controller...or something...

Myself and the rest of the Ghosts & Liars had a great time this past Friday at the urbanXchange show. I know we were all very nervous to be debuting that much new music and all of your sweet faces, wonderful applause and the fact that so many of you stuck around to chat with us made each one of us feel like warm PopTart filling inside. Thank you very much to those of you that braved a Friday night on Pacific Avenue in Tacoma to come see us. Also, a huge thank you to Sena Kim for working so hard to put the show together and for spreading the word.

If any of you were able to snap a series of photos of the show, we would be supremely grateful to have any of those in our possession. Please feel free to e-mail any photos and/or comments/questions to ask@ghostsandliars.com.

Again, thank you so much for everything. You make us smile.

Love,
Chris.

Happy Last Day of November,

Tomorrow is the beginning of so many things: the month of December, the 25 days of Christmas (according to television executives), as well as the start of Ghosts & Liars' reign of happy terror over Tacoma and the rest of the Puget Sound region. This, right here in this very posting, is your last chance to be reminded about our first ever local show. Read carefully:

Dear, dear friends,

So, how's the weather? Were you stuck at your house all day? Did you wake up early as hell to go to school or work only to find out that there was absolutely no point whatsoever? Yeah, me too...

However, the end of this week will hopefully warm your heart a little as the rest of the Ghosts & Liars crew and I will present our first ever show in our home base of Tacoma, Washington. While it feels kind of sudden and nerve-wracking, we are all pretty damn excited and hope to see a bunch of you there to help celebrate this with us.

Good Morning Early Risers,

I thought we might treat you to an early morning surprise (well, it's somewhat early here on the west coast) and drop one of our new demos into your lap.

Just imagine that you are waking up in your comfortable bed or on whatever couch you might have passed out on last night to myself and the rest of the Ghosts & Liars family bearing a tray filled with orange juice, cereal, pancakes, veggie sausage, toast and a new song to brighten your morning.

I'll post a little more information about this later on in the afternoon for everyone, but for now head on over to the Ghosts & Liars MySpace profile and enjoy! Make sure you tell all your friends to visit too. We would love to have them over!

Love,
Chris.

Hello friends,

I have to tell you that waking up this morning to frost all over the yard in front of my house gave me a burst of happiness I am almost embarrassed to admit. There have been so many changes surrounding me recently that it felt good to see one that I'd been waiting for all year. But anyway...

Tomorrow morning, we will be hopping on a Halloween plane and making our way to New York City for the CMJ Music Marathon and the first Ghosts & Liars show ever. I'm sad that we won't be doing the first show anywhere even remotely close to home, but it's also incredibly exciting to know that in a little over 48 hours we will be performing in NYC.

For those of you that live close to New York, here are the details of our show as we would be honored to have you present:

WHAT: SideCho Records CMJ Showcase

WHEN: November 1, 2006 | Doors @ 7pm, Show @ 8pm

WHO: Peachcake, Blinded Black, Tokyo Rose, The Spores, Ghosts & Liars, 1090 Club.

WHERE: Arlene's Grocery [95 Stanton Street | New York, NY] [Yahoo! Map]

I don't believe that I'll be taking my laptop with me, so there probably won't be any updates on the MySpace for a few days. Also, if you write and I don't get back to you for a few days, forgive me. However, I will do my best to keep a journal each day and post it on here as soon as we get home.

I hope that everything is going great for all of you. Feel free to send messages whenever you can to say hello or ask any questions you might have. I love hearing from you so much. We will see all of you very soon.

Love,
Chris & the Ghosts & Liars.

Hello friends,

Is anyone else out there as excited as I am at the prospect of wearing a stupid amount of scarves, sweaters and big coats for the next five months? I think I've been ready since May to get back to the cold weather and dreariness that I cherish and adore. I realize that the temperature doesn't drop in all places as drastically as it does here in Washington this time of year, so for those of you in warm weather climates, please forgive the ridiculous nature of my question.

But let's move on, because finally, we've got some big news:

.:ACT ONE:.
A Home for Ghosts & Liars!

This past week, it was made official that the wonderful people at SideCho Records, who released the last Some By Sea record, will also be releasing the first record from your friends here in Ghosts & Liars. Here is what SideCho had to say in their press release:

"SideCho Records is proud to announce their recent signing of Ghosts & Liars. Ghosts & Liars features Chris Du Bray and Rachel Bowman, both of who are already familiar with the label. SideCho Records was home to Chris and Rachel's former band, Some By Sea, and the new music will be a pleasant surprise for fans of the now-defunct band. Ghosts & Liars will be playing this year's SideCho Records CMJ Showcase that is to take place at Arlene's Grocery (95 Stanton St., NYC) on November 1. The debut album will follow in Spring 2007."

.:ACT TWO:.
Shows? Wait, Wait, Wait...Shows?

Yes! Some of you might have noticed that our first show will be taking place in New York City at this year's CMJ Music Marathon. It might seem weird to perform our first show three thousand miles away from home and welllllllll...we think it's a little weird and possibly frightening as well, but it should be a lot of fun. For those of you in New York, we hope that you will come out and see us along with all of the other great SideCho artists performing with us.

However, we will be coming back and doing our first local show at our home base in Tacoma, WA on December 1st, so whatever you have planned for that day, cancel it, reschedule it and come spend an evening with us.

We might have a couple more shows in the works before the end of 2006 and we will let you know as soon as all the details are set. As always, make sure to check back on the MySpace for all of the show updates.

.:ACT THREE:.
Sleazy Pictures...

This week, we uploaded a couple of new photos for you to enjoy. For some reason, both feature me on a bed, so I will allow you to interpret that however you would like to, but make sure you stop by and leave a fresh comment.

I'm fairly certain we've reached the conclusion of this performance of Ghosts & Liars news. I truly hope that you will come back and visit often. Have an excellent week.

Love,
Chris.

Hello, hello.

Welcome to the LiveJournal community for Ghosts & Liars. Right now, it's quite ugly and blue in here, but give us a few days to give this place a proper paint job and a trimming of the hedges out front and soon we will all be able to converse behind the brand new white picket fence.

Feel free to ask questions and speak your mind.

Love,
Ghosts & Liars.
